Plymstock Oaks Community Rugby

About The Club

KPlymstock Oaks have launched a new community rugby initiative aimed at promoting the club, and rugby in general, to local school children (in particular U11 girls)

By providing schools with free coaching during PE lessons, the community rugby team are engaging with children that wouldn’t ordinarily consider the sport.

The club offers subsidised after school clubs aimed specifically at KS2 students, that further encourage the children and their parents to engage with the club directly.

The final pillar of the club’s community rugby initiative is to establish a range of subsidised holiday camps,  that will provide some respite for parents and food for children over the school holidays.

Through this combination of activities, it is hoped that the club can build upon its current successes and establish itself as the club for girls rugby in Plymouth. Having a complete player pathway for girls/ladies rugby from U12 through to seniors.

Funds raised here will contribute to the costs of delivering the program, including; equipment, fuel, prizes and food for the children where required.
